The two nearest airports to Dumfries are Edinburgh and Glasgow airport. If you are travelling to Edinburgh, the easiest way to get to Dumfries would be a train from Edinburgh train station to Lockerbie train station, then a 20 minutes car drive to Dumfries. If you are travelling to Glasgow airport, you can get a direct train from Glasgow train station to Dumfries train station.

The WMDQE main hotel will be the Cairndale Hotel who are a partner with Dumfries Curling.
The OC have also provided some other basic info for teams to help with their decisions
towards accommodation provision for the event.
Train
Dumfries and Galloway has both local and national rail connections. The train station is in the heart of the town and a short walk from two of the chosen accommodation providers.
Utilising the train system will provide competitors with the most relaxing transfer to Dumfries and allow visitors to view our spectacular country.
Airport
Dumfries is within easy reach of a number of airports, both in England and Scotland. Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle are all international airports with a wide range of destinations, while others serve a more limited number of destinations, but offer budget flights.
