Inclusive Curling
We’re proud to welcome people of all abilities.
Whether you’re a wheelchair user, have a physical disability, a visual or hearing impairment, a learning disability, or a mental health condition, we’ll do our best to support you on the ice. You don’t need any previous experience, just a willingness to have a go.
Our coaches and volunteers are friendly, patient, and happy to adapt sessions to suit individual needs, ensuring everyone can enjoy the fun and challenge of curling in a safe and supportive environment.
Accessibility Options?
Dumfries Curling is based at the Dumfries Ice Bowl, which offers step-free access throughout the venue, including accessible parking, toilets, and changing facilities.
The ice rink is wheelchair accessible, and we have a range of adapted equipment available, including delivery sticks, wheelchair curling aids, and grippers for extra stability. Our team is happy to make adjustments where needed, and carers or support workers are welcome to accompany participants both on and off the ice.
We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone can enjoy the sport, regardless of ability.
