Catch World Curling Level Action at Home
The 2026 Hardie Engineering Scottish Curling Championships Head to Dumfries
If Team GB’s recent silver medal success at the Winter Olympics has left you wanting more, you don’t have to travel far to see the world’s best in action. High-stakes, elite curling is coming directly to your doorstep as the Hardie Engineering Scottish Curling Championships 2026 take over the Dumfries Ice Bowl from Tuesday, 24th February to Saturday, 28th February.
Dumfries Curling has long been a premier hub for the sport, seamlessly transitioning from hosting the English National Championships at the weekend to preparing for the Scottish national stage. While the eyes of the world were fixed on the Olympic finals, local organisers were already busy managing eleven top-tier teams competing for the right to represent their country.
Gavin Kilgour, Chair of the Dumfries Ice Bowl Curling Association (DIBCA), commented:
“Hosting prestigious events like these is a massive team effort. We are incredibly grateful for the support of the curling community and our partners—specifically our primary sponsor, David Hardie Engineering. This vital backing from local businesses, the Dumfries & Galloway Council Major Events Fund, and our dedicated volunteers ensures we can deliver world-class curling right here in Dumfries”
If you want to get involved and watch the pros in action come along and experience the strategy and precision of the Scottish Championships in person at Dumfries Ice Bowl. Tickets are available at the door or online via Dumfries Curling website dibca.co.uk.
