SCOTTISH CURLING CHAMPIONSHIPS SET FOR 2026 RETURN TO DUMFRIES
Dumfries & Galloway is preparing to host the Scottish Curling Championships for the fifth year in succession, with the Men’s and Women’s competitions set to return to Dumfries.
Dumfries Curling Ltd is thrilled to announce that David Hardie Engineering Ltd. has once again committed as the Principal Sponsor for the Men’s and Women’s Scottish Curling Championships in 2026. The championships are set to be held at the Dumfries Ice Bowl from Tuesday, 24th February, to Saturday, 28th February 2026. Holding the event between the Olympics and Paralympics provides the perfect platform to showcase Scotland’s top curling athletes to a global audience.
The renewed support from David Hardie Engineering Ltd. and other local businesses is hugely valuable and much appreciated. This vital support allows the championships to be delivered at a world-class standard.
Dumfries and Galloway has a strong reputation for producing world-class curlers and for hosting major events.
Scottish Curling’s Major Events Manager, Charlene Graham said
“Scottish Curling is once again delighted to be hosting the Scottish Championships at Dumfries. They have shown time and time again they can deliver a world class event in what is a state-of-the-art facility. Dumfries provides the perfect experience for both athletes and fans alike and we can’t wait for another Championships in February”.
The 2026 event is being planned as the most digitally ambitious yet, with fans able to expect live episodes of the SC Podcast, daily reviews, behind-the-scenes access, live scores, and live text coverage. Spectators who attend in person will enjoy an unrivalled experience watching some of the world’s best athletes competing for their national title.
David Hardie, Director of David Hardie Engineering Ltd, said
