What Is Junior Coaching?

Whether you’re brand new to the sport or already have some experience on the ice, our Junior Coaching sessions are the perfect place to learn, play, and grow. Designed for young people aged 8 and up, our sessions are fun, friendly, and focused on developing skills at every level. With guidance from experienced coaches and a supportive team environment, juniors can enjoy curling in a safe and welcoming space—while making new friends along the way.

Pathway & Progression

At Dumfries Curling, we support every junior’s journey—whether they’re curling for fun or aiming for the podium.

As skills develop, young curlers have the opportunity to take part in club games, friendly matches, and bonspiels. For those keen to progress further, there are pathways into regional and national competitions, as well as access to Scottish Curling development programmes like the National and Talent Pathways.

Many of our juniors go on to represent Dumfries at events across Scotland and beyond, with coaching support every step of the way.

How to Join?
